Building history
Built in 1922, the Ramona Building was constructed on the former site of the Fashion Stables and Livery (1915) for LD Mercereau. Designed by renowned architect, WW Kays, the beam & post construction with brick façade offers a combination retail and office space. The building, part of the City of Santa Ana’s Historic Register List, was initially constructed for $60,000. Early tenants of the building included Remington Typewriters and Federal Finance, followed later by Shafer Music Company and The Irvine Company. Since then, the Property has benefited from million dollar reinvestments to preserve and modernize the asset. Most recently, it was occupied by Esports Arena, hailed as the first of its kind in North America before being repurposed for Mariners Church, the current anchor tenant for the property.
